Gyeong-sun (LEE Ji-won) und Yoon-ji (SIM Su-bin) sind Zimmergenossinnen im Internat. Yoon-ji hat eine Beziehung mit ihrem Lehrer und wird schwanger. Als der Lehrer verschwindet, entscheidet sie sich für eine Abtreibung, stiehlt dafür jedoch Geld von Gyeong-sun, um eine illegale Pille zu kaufen. Als Gyeong-sun davon erfährt, wird sie wütend und fordert von Yoon-ji ihr Geld zurück. Doch als sie den Grund für den Diebstahl erfährt, entwickelt sich zwischen den beiden eine Freundschaft und Gyeong-sun beginnt, Yoon-ji bei ihrem Abtreibungsversuch zu helfen.

En Route To ist eine eindringliche Beobachtung der Schwierigkeiten, die Jugendliche ohne familiären Rückhalt im Zusammenhang mit Abtreibungen durchstehen müssen. Ein Film, der den Machtmissbrauch von Männern anprangert, starke Bindungen zwischen jungen Frauen darstellt und dem Publikum viel Stoff zum Nachdenken mitgibt.

Gyeong-sun (LEE Ji-won) and Yoon-ji (SIM Su-bin) are roommates at their boarding school. Yoon-ji has a relationship with their teacher and becomes pregnant. When the teacher disappears, she decides to get an abortion but to do so she steals money from Gyeong-sun to buy an illegal pill. When Gyong-sun finds out she gets mad and demands her money back. But when she finds out the reason for the theft, the two develop a friendship and Gyeong-sun starts to help Yoon-ji with her attempted abortion.

En Route To is an intense observation of the difficulties teenagers without the support of a family face when it comes to abortions. A film that denounces abusive men, shows strong connections between young girls and leaves the viewer with a lot to think about.
