Zwischen der Außenseiterin Sun (CHOI Soon-in) und der neu zugezogenen Ji-ah (SEOL Hye-in) entwickelt sich schnell eine tiefe Freundschaft. Seon ist glücklich, endlich eine beste Freundin gefunden zu haben, während Ji-ah froh darüber ist, so schnell Anschluss in der neuen Stadt zu finden. Doch der Beginn des neuen Schuljahres bringt Herausforderungen mit sich, die die Freundschaft der beiden Mädchen zunehmend auf die Probe stellen. 

Das Langfilmdebüt der Regisseurin YOON Ga-eun wurde bereits auf dem 5th Korean Film Festival Frankfurt gezeigt. Zur Feier seines 10-jährigen Jubiläums präsentieren wir den Film dieses Jahr erneut unserem Publikum, zusammen mit und zu Ehren  des neuesten Films von Regisseurin YOON, The World of Love. Beide Werke widmen sich dem komplizierten und vielschichtigen Leben junger Frauen.

A deep friendship quickly develops between the outsider Sun (CHOI Soon-in) and the new girl in town, Ji-ah (SEOL Hye-in). Seon is delighted to finally have a best friend, whilst Ji-ah is pleased to have made friends so quickly in a new place. However, with the start of the new school year come challenges that increasingly put a strain on their friendship.

YOON Ga-eun’s feature film debut has already been screened at the 5th Korean Film Festival Frankfurt. To celebrate the film’s 10th anniversary we will present the movie to our audience again, together with and in honour of director YOON’s latest film, The World of Love. Both works  are dedicated to exploring the complicated and multi-layered lives of young women.
