Die Schülerin Ji-sook (BAEK Ji-hye) verbringt ihre Tage mit ihrem Kindheitsfreund Yong-gi (JOO Min-hyeong) und ihrem gemeinsamen Freund Dum-bo (SHIN Jun-hang). Jede*r von ihnen hat ein eigenes Problem. Ji-sook hat eine Essstörung, Yong-gi verliert sich in Fantasiewelten und wäre am liebsten ein Superheld und Dum-bo verdient Geld damit, sich online als Mädchen auszugeben. Die eingespielte Dynamik der Gruppe gerät gefährlich ins Wanken, als der attraktive Austauschschüler Woo-joo (JEONG Soo-hyun) an die Schule kommt und Ji-sook sich auf den ersten Blick in ihn verliebt. 

Was zunächst wie eine vertraute Coming-of-Age-Geschichte erscheint, entwickelt sich zu einer unvorhersehbaren Mischung aus schwarzer Komödie, Thriller und Tragödie. Mit einer rastlosen Kameraführung, fragmentierten Bildern und einem lauten Soundtrack erzählt Regisseur HAN Chang-lok von Liebe, Sexualität, Verrat und den emotionalen Verwerfungen des Erwachsenwerdens.

High school student Ji-sook (BAEK Ji-hye) spends her days with her childhood friend Yong-gi (JOO Min-hyeong) and their shared friend Dum-bo (SHIN Jun-hang). All of them have their own problems. Ji-sook suffers from anorexia, Yong-gi loses himself in imaginary worlds and dreams about being a superhero, and Dum-bo earns his money by pretending to be a girl online. The groups’ dynamic begins to unravel when the handsome transfer student Woo-joo (JEONG Soo-hyun) arrives, and Ji-sook falls for him at first sight. 

What initially seems like a familiar coming-of-age story quickly transforms into an unpredictable blend of black comedy, psychological thriller, and tragedy. Through restless camerawork, fragmented imagery, and a loud soundtrack, director HAN Chang-lok explores love, sexuality, betrayal and the emotional turmoil of youth.
