Joseon, 1457: Der junge König Danjong (PARK Ji-hoon) wird von seinem Onkel, Großprinz Suyang, gestürzt und in das weit von der Hauptstadt entfernte Dorf Yeongwol verbannt. Joseon, 1457: young King Danjong (PARK Ji-hoon) is overthrown by his uncle, Grand Prince Suyang, and sent into exile far from the capital in the village of Yeongwol. Stripped of his title and renamed Lord Nosan, Danjong initially refuses to eat and has no hope for the future. Yet, through an unexpected bond with his warden EOM Eung-do (YOO Hae-jin) and the people of Yeongwol, he gradually regains his fighting spirit and his will to live.
